Thank you for your interest in the Simon Youth Scholarship programs! SYF is committed to helping students graduate and pursue their dreams through education.

Each year, SYF’s scholarships support hundreds of college-bound students through three nationally competitive scholarship programs. To date, SYF has awarded nearly $21 million in scholarships to almost 6,000 students in 42 states, and we’re just getting started.

Applicants are evaluated based on academic promise, financial need, work experience and community/extracurricular involvement; additional criteria apply to each individual scholarship program.

The Shari Simon Greenberg Community Scholarship of the Simon Youth Foundation supports graduating seniors who live in a Simon mall community through one-time scholarships.

One Shari Simon Greenberg Community Scholarship will be awarded at each Simon® property and is not renewable. Award amounts vary from year to year and are based on available funding.

In addition, the top-ranking applicants selected in Simon communities will be eligible for the Award of Excellence, which is a renewable scholarship awarded to one student in eligible Simon regions.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a high school senior attending school and living in a Simon® community, and planning to graduate by Spring 2023.
  • Be a legal U.S. resident.
  • Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school in Fall 2023.
Demonstrate academic promise and financial need.

Applicants will be evaluated based on academic promise, financial need, written response, work experience and community/extracurricular involvement.
